A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/PRODUCER Musical Theatre West celebrates its 49th season at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach. As one of Southern California's oldest regional musical theatre companies, our commitment to excellence is nationally known and critically acclaimed. The new season has something for everyone: two recent Broadway hits, an off-Broadway favorite (now in its fifth year), and a timeless musical classic. We've added a third week to each production run and an additional performance for our holiday show, due to sold out houses this past season. Musical Theatre West productions feature lavish sets and costumes, a live orchestra, and professional casts with recognizable faces from stage, TV and film, joined by outstanding local talent. Each production plays for 14 performances over a three week run and includes a special performance for schools sponsored by our Youth Cultural Enrichment Program.
