CAROL LAWRENCE (Mame Dennis)
an actress, singer and dancer of the first magnitude, created the role of Maria in the original Broadway production of WEST SIDE STORY. Carol also starred in SARATOGA, SUBWAYS ARE FOR SLEEPING, NIGHTLIFE, I DO, I DO and KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN; national tours of FUNNY GIRL, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, THE SOUND OF MUSIC and SUGAR BABIES; recent LA performances of AMY'S VIEW, DO I HEAR A WALTZ? and FOLLIES; and was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ms Lawrence played Angela Eckart on "General Hospital" and guest-starred on over 40 television shows ranging from "Touched By An Angel" to "Sex and the City". Her one woman show has traveled the world. She hosted, wrote and produced "The Carol Lawrence Show" for TBN; hosted cooking shows for the Food Network; penned her own cookbook "I Remember Pasta", setting a new record for cookbook sales on the Home Shopping Network. Carol's autobiography, "Carol Lawrence, The Backstage Story" was published by McGraw-Hill. Her CD, THIS HEART IS MINE was re-released this year and is available in stores and on line everywhere. Her two greatest productions are her talented and handsome sons Christopher and Michael Goulet.
