Lewis is thrilled to return to Musical Theatre West, where he directed A FUNNY THING … FORUM. He recently concluded a ten-year run as Artistic Director of Cabrillo Music Theatre in Thousand Oaks, overseeing 42 productions. During Lewis’ leadership, Cabrillo Music Theatre has achieved nationwide recognition for performance and outreach, been recognized by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, and been rewarded with 49 Ovation Award nominations and eight wins. Lewis was recognized for his work with a Commendation of Honor from the City of Thousand Oaks. He serves as a judge each year on the prestigious Jerry Herman Awards, recognizing high school performance excellence. Lewis sits on the Ovation Rules Committee of LA Stage Alliance, has directed over sixty plays and musicals across the country, collaborates with writers on new play development, and is a popular guest speaker/educator in schools and workshops. Lewis’ finest “productions” are the two he shares with his wife, Serena: daughter Melody and son Jesse.

Craig McEldowney (Doc)
Craig McEldowney (Doc) is excited to make his Reiner Series debut! He is a singer, actor and musician currently based in Los Angeles. Recent area credits include Return to the Forbidden Planet (Bosun) at Rubicon, Peter and the Starcatcher (Black Stache) at Barn Stage, A Class Act (Hamlisch) at CV Rep, Sweeney Todd (Beadle) at ETC Santa Barbara, Ragtime (Father) with 3D Theatricals, Show Boat (Ravenal) with Opera San Luis Obispo. Tours include JCS (Judas) and Grease (Doody). You may have seen him recently as a hapless engagement bumbler or a muffin stealing crook on “Fameless” or as a dirtbag in “Law & Order: SVU”. He'll also be appearing in the upcoming season finale of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. Craig is a proud AEA member and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Musical Theatre Department.

Kelley Dorney (Suzy)
Kelley is excited for her fourth Rodgers and Hammerstein show this year. Her L.A. credits include Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor and the Ovation nominated cast of First Date at La Mirada, Ado Annie in Oklahoma! (3D Theatricals), the Heavenly Friend in Carousel (Musical Theatre West), Superhuman (Center Theatre Group), Promises, Promises and State Fair (Musical Theatre Guild), Serial Killer Barbie and Adam and Eve and Steve (NoHo Arts Center), and Nunsense (Crown City Theatre). Kelley has toured the country with Fancy Nancy and Click Clack Moo (Theatreworks USA) and Disney Cruise Lines. While living in London, she performed in the PBS Concert Special: “A Tale of Two Cities” and the workshop of the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies (Really Useful Group). She can be heard on both cast albums. Kelley spends most mornings encouraging students’ creative writing skills while performing with the Imagination Machine.
Mary Gordon Murray (Fauna)
Mary Gordon Murray (Fauna) is delighted to return to MTW, having appeared on the main stage in Sister Act as Mother Superior, and My Fair Lady, The Pirates of Penzance and Meet Me in St. Louis. For MTW’s Reiner Reading Series she’s appeared in Pal Joey as Vera Simpson and Where’s Charley?. Mary performed on Broadway in 2013 in Hands on a Hardbody opposite Keith Carradine as well as the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Belle in Little Me (Best Actress Tony nomination), Footloose, Coastal Disturbances, Grease, Play Me a Country Song, I Love My Wife and The Robber Bridegroom. TV: Laura Bush in “DC:9/11" for Showtime, and many years as Becky on “One Life to Live.” She recently toured the country as Fraulein Schneider in the national tour of Cabaret.

Gabriel Kalomas (Mac)
Gabriel is thankful and thrilled to be returning to MTW's Reiner Reading Series as Mac in Pipe Dream. Some of his favorite roles over the years include Didi in Waiting for Godot, Dysart in Equus, and Thenardier which he understudied on the 3rd U.S. National Tour of Les Misérables. Gabriel feels incredibly grateful for continued performing opportunities and dedicates his performance with loving gratitude to his beloved parents, siblings, mentors, friends, foes, and God.

Richard Bulda (George)
Richard took part in The Reiner Reading production of Steel Pier in 2014 after appearing in MTW’s BIG FISH. He recently appeared in The Old Globe’s production of GUYS & DOLLS in San Diego, and SALOME with Los Angeles Opera. Last year he performed in THE KING and I for Chicago Lyric Opera, as well as the world premiere of a new musical, EMPIRE-The Musical at La Mirada. Other regional credits on stage include Shan Yu in Disney's MULAN, CATS (Macavity), YOSHIMI BATTLES THE PINK ROBOTS, 7 BRIDES FOR 7 BROTHERS (Benjamin). Opera credits: THE MERRY WIDOW, BILLY BUDD, THE RING CYCLE, ROMEO AND JULIETTE, CARMEN, and DIE FLEDERMAUS. He is happily married to Michelle for 23 years and has two young adults, Renee and Kendall.

Michael Dotson (Ray)
Michael is proud to be back on the Reiner Reading stage for another rarely produced gem. He recently returned from playing the role of Dick in 9 to 5 for Sacramento Music Circus (17th Season) and Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast for Plan B Entertainment in Alaska. Favorite past productions include (Lawrence) The Andrews Brothers, (Willy Conklin) Ragtime, (Roger Sherman) 1776, (Everybody Else) SUDS, (Frankie) Forever Plaid and (Ewart Dunlop/Quartet) The Music Man in Concert with Patrick Cassidy and the legendary Shirley Jones. As a Director, Michael has lead productions across the country including 110 Stories, Forever Plaid, Cinderella, and Godspell. He received a BFA degree in Theater from the University of Southern California and is a proud member of AEA. Thanks Michael, Lewis and Dottie for the fun. LSL-JPA!

Hanz is happy to be making his Reiner Reading Series debut! A longtime fan of lost and forgotten musicals, his other recent credits include: Escape To Margaritaville, Up Here, The Grift (La Jolla Playhouse); Grandmaster Chad in Legally Blonde (Performance Riverside); A-rab in West Side Story (San Diego Musical Theatre); The Fiddler in Fiddler on the Roof, Clinton Badger in Meet Me In St. Louis, Rudolph in Hello, Dolly!, Bobby in Cabaret (Welk Resort Theatre); Mordred in Camelot (The Barn Stage Company); L.A. in Gypsy (Cygnet Theatre). Sara Freedland (Ensemble)
Sara is thrilled to be in her first show at Musical Theatre West. In May, she graduated from the University of Illinois with a BFA in Acting. Recently, she premiered the role of Bertha in St. Louis Stories at the Tennessee Williams Festival in New Orleans and St. Louis. Her credits include Ariadne in The Minotaur and Little Red Ridinghood in Into the Woods (Krannert Center for the Performing Arts), Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Champaign Urbana Theatre Company), and Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical (Morgan Wixson). Last summer, she was selected for the Acting Company at the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.
Maggie Darago (Ensemble)
Maggie is a California native and graduate of the UCLA Ray Bolger Musical Theater Program. Maggie has been seen in regional productions across California including Bye, Bye Birdie, Oklahoma! (Cabrillo), Big Fish (Moonlight), West Side Story (McCoy Rigby), and A Chorus Line (Hollywood Bowl). She is so excited to be making her Musical Theatre West debut with this wonderful Rodgers and Hammerstein piece and would like to thank her family, DDO Artists Agency, and the whole MTW/ Reiner Reading Series team!
Andrew Metzger (Ensemble)
Andrew is thrilled to be in his first Musical Theatre West production! He graduated CSU Channel Islands in 2015, receiving a B.A. Degree in Performing Arts. He recently put his pirate boots on as Noodler in Peter Pan with Cabrillo Music Theatre (now renamed “5 Star Theatricals”). Also, he enjoyed playing Lefou in Plan-B Entertainment’s production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, which performed in Anchorage, Alaska earlier this year. Other recent credits: Nicely-Nicely (Guys and Dolls), Marcus Lycus (A Funny Thing Happened… Forum), Victor Frankenstein (Young Frankenstein), and Thénardier (Les Misérables). This October, you can see him as Clopin in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, presented by Long Beach Landmark Theatre Company. Nikki Spies (Ensemble)
Nikki Spies (Ensemble) is so excited to be appearing in her first Reiner Reading series production. Previously she’s appeared on MTW’s main stage in Mary Poppins, Carousel, South Pacific and My Fair Lady. A native of Jacksonville, FL, she received in BFA in Musical Theatre from Jacksonville University. She is also a tour guide for the “world famous studio tour” at Universal Studios Hollywood.
