Leianna Weaver (Dorothy Gale) is thrilled to be making her Musical Theatre West debut! She is a BFA Acting graduate from Cal State Fullerton. Most recently, Leianna played Qing in the staged concert of the new musical Noble Family (McCoy Rigby Entertainment). She would like to thank the artistic team for their faith in her, the team at ATB Talent for their guidance, and her loved ones for their support. She dedicates her performance to McKenna, her friend in the place behind the sun.

 

Erik Scott Romney (The Scarecrow) started his career as a dancer, and has since gone from Balanchine to Broadway. Erik has appeared and starred in multiple productions throughout Southern California, including his hometown Palm Springs. Erik was most recently seen at the McCallum Theater, in last year’s production of Cabaret, as the Emcee. Before that, he was featured in the West Coast Regional Premiere of Something Rotten! and Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn (Musical Theatre West). Erik is looking to one day play the titular role in Beetlejuice: The Musical. Until then, you can find him advocating, as a certified volunteer, for the restoration of the Historic Plaza Theatre in Palm Springs. Erik is also expected to debut his solo show “A Little Different” this Summer. Michael James (The Tin Man) is making his Musical Theater West debut! A New York transplant that is finding a new career here in Los Angeles! Jason Graae (The Wizard) Broadway: A Grand Night For Singing, Falsettos, Stardust, Snoopy!, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? (Off Broadway), Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (Drama Desk Nomination- Best Actor in a Musical), Forever Plaid, Olympus On My Mind. National tours include Wicked (The Wizard of Oz), Falsettos (Mendel) and the LA production of Ragtime (Houdini). Jason won an LA Drama Critics Circle Award for Outstanding contribution to Musical Theatre and an Ovation Award for Forbidden Broadway. TV shows include Friends, Frasier, Six Feet Under, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and he was the voice of Lucky the Leprechaun for Lucky Charms Cereal. At MTW, he appeared as Cookie in Nice Work if You Can Get It, King George in Spamilton and directed their first post-pandemic show, A Grand Night For Singing. Oh and he was proud to make his Dirtbag Stadium debut in MTW’s 30th anniversary reunion concert of Forever Plaid.

Dennis Holland (Uncle Henry, u/s The Wizard) is thrilled to be making his Carpenter Center debut, having recently moved to Long Beach from NYC. He has appeared both on and off-Broadway and at regional theatres across the country, and performed the role of Doc in the 60th anniversary tour of West Side Story in 22 cities, including Dublin, Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Dubai, Tokyo, Auckland and Shanghai. He is an award-winning voiceover artist with over 200 audiobooks to his credit. Thanks to Annie, Claire, Will and Shelley.

Dekontee Tucrkile (Ensemble) is a Los Angeles native! She’s excited to be making her MTW debut near her hometown of Bellflower! Brianna Liddi (Ensemble, u/s Glinda) recently graduated with her BFA from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Brianna is thrilled to be making her Musical Theatre West debut right in her hometown: Long Beach, CA! James dela Cruz (Youth Ensemble) is excited to make his musical theatre debut and is grateful for the opportunity. He attends South Coast Repertory and trains vocals with Drew Tablak. Amelia Fischer (Youth Ensemble) is delighted to be back on stage with MTW, where she previously appeared in Carousel when she was only 5-years-old. Savannah Fischer (Youth Ensemble) is honored to be performing again with Musical Theatre West! She first appeared in MTW’s Carousel, and has since performed in other regional productions, including Sunday…with George (Musical Theatre Guild) and Annie (Glendale Centre Theatre). Maisie Oliveros (Youth Ensemble) is 10 years old and loves to sing. She has been singing on stage since she was 3.  Her most memorable performance was singing “On My Own” at Carnegie Hall for a recital. She also love sports and was a pitcher in the Long Beach Heartwell Fastpitch Softball League.

Daniela Somers (Youth Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her first production at MTW. She loves theater and has done a number of shows with TKTC of Long Beach. Notably she was in The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts) and The Jungle Book (Mowgli.) Daniela is represented by FSE. She lives in LB and will be attending Roger’s Middle School in the fall.
