Ticket Exchanges & Policies

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON SINGLE TICKETS, SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS, OR EDUCATIONAL EVENTS.

SUBSCRIBER TICKET EXCHANGES

As a subscriber benefit, subscribers may exchange tickets to attend the same production on a different day! There is no exchange fee for exchanging with a 24-hour minimum notice before the originally scheduled performance.
Note: Exchanges are processed on a best available basis and may not be available on your desired performance date or in your desired seating area. Comparable seating cannot be guaranteed for ticket exchanges. Any difference in price if moving to a more expensive performance/section will be charged. Refunds or credits are not given if pricing of new tickets is lower than original purchase price.

SINGLE TICKET EXCHANGES

Single Ticket Buyers may also exchange tickets to attend the same production on a different day up until 24 hours before the performance. For single ticket purchasers, there is a $5 per ticket exchange fee, plus any charge for higher priced tickets. If the original tickets were purchased during a promotion, the full difference in price will be charged. Refunds or credits are not given if pricing of new tickets is lower than original purchase price. There are no exchanges to another production in the season.

LAST MINUTE EXCHANGES

If you are unable to exchange your tickets with 24-hour notice, you may exchange the day of your performance for a $5 per ticket fee for subscribers and a $10 per ticket fee for single ticket buyers. Any difference in price if moving to a more expensive performance/section will also be charged.

MISSED PERFORMANCE EXCHANGES

If you miss your originally scheduled performance, subscribers can exchange their tickets to another performance in that same production for a $10 per ticket fee. Single tickets buyers cannot exchange tickets after the original performance has passed.

CHILD TICKET POLICIES

Every patron who attends a Musical Theatre West performance must have a ticket, regardless of age. The Carpenter Center’s policy is that children under the age of 5 are not allowed into the theater. If a patron arrives at the theater with a child under the age of 5, the Carpenter Center staff may not allow the patron into the theater. Refunds are not available in these instances.

THIRD PARTY TICKETING POLICIES

Musical Theatre West does not authorize the resale of any tickets purchased for our productions. The only authorized ticketing partner of Musical Theatre West is TodayTix. All tickets purchased on a site other than musical.org or through TodayTix cannot be verified as real. If a patron has resold the tickets through an unauthorized resale website such as StubHub, their tickets will be cancelled and refunded, their account will be deactivated, and they will not be allowed to purchase tickets for any future MTW production. If you have purchased tickets through a reselling website, we cannot guarantee the validity of your tickets and have the right to refuse entry if the tickets are found to be resold to more than one patron.

There are NO refunds or exchanges on any tickets purchased through TodayTix or any resale website.

DYNAMIC PRICING

Musical Theatre West utilizes a common ticketing strategy known as “dynamic pricing” when selling our tickets. This means that as ticket inventory decreases, the price of tickets increase. This strategy helps cover the rising costs of producing high quality theatre and is integral to sustaining our organization. We do not use this strategy for our two lowest priced sections in order to offer tickets that can fit any budget.

If a single ticket holder is exchanging a ticket after a dynamic pricing increase has occurred, they will need to pay the additional amount, in addition to an exchange fee. Dynamic pricing does not affect ticket prices for season subscribers.

FLEX PASS POLICIES

Musical Theatre West Flex Passes are non-refundable and must be redeemed for tickets in the season that they were purchased for.
