Erica Schaeffer is a visual/performing artist, arts educator, and Long Beach, CA native! She began dancing at 3 years old, began singing at 10 years old, and then realized she could do both at the same time while in high school. She earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from UC Irvine.
Some favorite regional credits of hers include The Incredible Book Eating Boy at South Coast Repertory (Olivia/Others) The Sound of Music at McCoy Rigby Entertainment (Ensemble/US Berthe & Margaretta), Next to Normal at The Wayward Artist (Natalie), Parade at Chance Theater (Lucille Frank), and MTW’s Education and Outreach Tour 2023-2024.
She has also shared the stage several times with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the Peanuts gang at Knott’s Berry Farm.
In addition, Erica runs a small business making/selling polymer clay jewelry and leading creative workshops.
Erica aims to create a joyful and compassionate learning environment, providing quality instruction in an engaging and encouraging way. As an educator, she currently works at Los Alamitos High School as Assistant Director to the Drama program. She has also taught at Orange County Song and Dance (Acting) and Encore School of Music (Voice).
