Shay Garber is a professional stage manager, event manager, arts administrator, and educator based in Southern California. Some of the theatre companies she has worked for include Musical Theatre West, Ojai Playwrights Conference, Sacramento Theatre Company, and Utah Shakespeare Festival. In addition to her stage management work, Shay has also held positions as Production Manager for the New London Barn Playhouse (a summer stock theatre set in a 200 year old barn in New London, New Hampshire!), Audition Center Manager for the Western Region and Contract Associate at Actors’ Equity Association, Production Coordinator for the Coup de Comedy Festival, and Human Resources Coordinator for CoSA VFX. Shay has taught stage management at Cypress College and Fullerton College and currently teaches stage management at CSU Fullerton, UC Irvine, and Saddleback College. Shay also serves as an adjudicator for the MTW Footlighters Scholarship program for technical theatre. She has a BFA in Stage Management from Syracuse University and an MFA in Stage Management from University of California, Irvine. She is a proud AEA member.
