We hope you’re happy, healthy and staying safe at home.
California State University Update
Recently, The Carpenter Performing Arts Center announced that all large gatherings on campus are cancelled through August 24th
This of course means our July production of Treasure Island and the rescheduled Mame in August.
Musical Theater West Responding
We Thank you for your trust and patience as our Board of Directors, staff and Executive Director/Producer Paul Garman work diligently on a plan, based on this new information. Updates will be forthcoming in the next few weeks, and soon we will continue to bring you the best of Broadway, just as we have for the past 68 years.
As a local non-profit, it means the world to us if you hold onto your tickets until our new plans are complete. Once announced, if our new plans don’t meet your needs we’ll be happy to discuss ticketing options with you, including refunds if need be. This helps ensure that we stay around for the next 68 years. But please realize, due the ever-changing status of events, it may be several weeks before we can get you definitive plans.
The Silver Lining
MTW is using this time to make upgrades, like bringing you a whole new ticketing system with exciting new online perks for subscribers and single ticket buyers alike. This is a 12-week process, so our offices will temporarily close thru approximately mid-June. But not to worry, we are working remotely and will check email and voicemail continuously, so feel free to reach out to us at any time. We’ll get back to you within 48 hours.
In the meantime, we’ll still connect with you through social media, our website and our eblasts. We’ve been working on some wonderful online programming like Free-4-All and Songs That Make Us Happy to keep you entertained while you’re staying “Safer-At-Home”.
We know you’re dreaming of the day we’ll be able to gather at the theatre once again, we are as well. Until that day – stay well, and stay safe.
